It would be very useful if Factory provided a secure read-only API or data connector so authorised business data could be analysed using external reporting and AI tools such as ChatGPT Work / OpenAI Data, Power BI and similar platforms.

Factory already contains valuable information across quotes, jobs, customers, products, costs and job statuses. Having secure access to this data would allow us to analyse things such as:

Quote conversion / win rates

Sales and quoting trends over time

Revenue by customer, product or job type

Estimated vs actual costs and margins

Jobs won/lost and reasons

Customer quoting history

Product/material usage

Estimator and salesperson performance

Ideally this could be provided through a documented API with read-only access by default, authentication/permissions, and selectable data scopes.

If a direct API or ChatGPT connector isn't practical, a scheduled CSV/JSON export or database/reporting connector would also be useful.

The goal is to avoid manually exporting reports from Factory each time and allow businesses to build their own dashboards, analytics and AI-assisted reporting while keeping Factory as the main source of data.
