We need more control over which products of a sales order are promised and which aren't.
In my opinion the actual quantities feature can be streamlined to a simple checkbox next to the product line that either allocates the product to promised or does not, we can't rely on the job to reach delivered before the real quantities of the inventory are revealed. To further add to this, once products are cut and used, they have passed the promised stage, the control needs to be there to push them through and out of promised even if the job is still in progress. It could be weeks between when a product is used and when it is delivered. The accuracy needs to be there the whole time.
Our fabricators submit a job sheet which includes material used and we need a quick way to update the stock regardless of what was quoted for on the sales order.
The actual quantities feature does not work for us. The only way we can keep an accurate inventory is by editing sales orders and either deleting products we haven't used, adding products we actually ended up using, changing quantities, etc. all while trying to maintain the quoted cost so when we invoice the customer it is accurate. This is too time consuming and can be streamlined to a simple feature.
