Kit pricing in product catalogue

The ability to easily see a kits rolled up retail pricing in the product catalogue. When you search through kit items in the product catalogue you can only see what the kit cost/retails for if you have the custom kit pricing selected. If you uncheck this, the pricing section disappears.
If I have a customer call up and request a current price on an item that is a kit we build in house, and I want this kit to have dynamic pricing i.e. not have the custom pricing box checked. The only way I can get the price for them is to create a sales order and then add the kit to it.

I think this refers to the product page, rather than the product catalogue.
I don't believe we can see what a kit or products retail for on the product catalogue page (the search results page)? We have to click on the individual products to see each price.
Similarly, to this idea, is pricing an option on the product catalogue page so we can see pricing on search results? When we have someone on the phone, it will potentially allow us to get the price as fast as possible
