Hi Paul - for mine the date at which the job is finished and therefore invoiced should be the date on the delivery docket and nothing else and it should be fixed - we deal with big corporates such as refineries and the only thing that matters to the client is the date the job was sent - not when it was created nor when it was required - and we generate one delivery docket only to attach to the goods and we do not generate them again unless the docket goes missing in transit

Ideal Chickadee: Thanks, mate! I think for this one we could give you two options:
1) Ability to display the 'Invoice date' on the template
2) Ability to display the current / today's date when the PDF is generated
It sounds like between these two options, you would probably be covered?

Hi All - would you like to simply display the current day's date on the PDF, each time the PDF is generated?

Paul Lutkajtis Hi Paul, that works for us.

Resident Puffin: Easy! What we'll do is add a new component to the PDF template editor that you can drag onto your templates. It'll display the current date when the PDF is generated and you'll have the ability to customise any 'label' of text that would sit with that date on the PDF.
