I think the dashboard charts, should be able to take you to the area you have clicked on.

e.g. Order By Status, clicking on the part of the chart for "Ready for Pickup", Should take you to the Sales Order page, with a dynamic table showing the orders currently held in that status.

Clicking on a bar of the Sales Order, should take you again to the Dynamic Tables, showing the orders created on the date you clicked on.
