I would say 50% of the product we buy and fabricate with is sold by CWT pricing. The other 50% is bought and sold in CFT. Being able to input CWT/CFT cost in applicable products would make updating cost a breeze. Being able to import a database/excel that suppliers update with pricing on common movers (at least) would be genius.

For us, being able to calculate average cost across 2-3 suppliers for the same material, update that daily/weekly via database/spreadsheet import, and maybe even have Factory suggest the cheapest supplier in the purchase order process - that would be an absolute game changer. Quoting speed would increase dramatically, and relationship with our suppliers would improve as well. We would love to be able to quote and sale based on average cost as we make our money on our labor. Our material cost calculation is more of a burden than an opportunity in our quoting process. If we can implement this, we could theoretically get very close to an accurate replacement cost #, and in the future track that for inventory overhead calculation, interest on asset assessment, etc. Paul Lutkajtis

Calculating the weight of a portion of a steel sheet size. Rather than having to work out the weight of that particular size, and times it by a percentage.

Weight tally needs to be seperate line from total costs of Invoice $$$.
